“2020 Dreamboy” refers to the modern man who understands experimenting with their appearance and venturing into taboos does not label their identity in any way. Abolishing the fragile and often toxic behaviours sought after in men through the romanization of such traits, paves the way for both gender equality and more inclusive creative environments. The six collage-style photographs included in this project feature a man covered in tattoos, styled in long dangle earrings, which historically have been reserved for women, and clothes that showcase the male body and expose skin. In 2020, many are being confronted with new ideas, reaching many areas of life, with this cultural reset, “2020 Dreamboy” contributes to the progression past dated ideals.
