Afterhomework AW18
A truly modern show set at against a dark church is the perfect setting for the Afterhomework AW18 collection. A juxtaposition of utilitarian sportswear, deconstruction, and tactile fabric manipulations, a collection that challenges our modern view of fashion. Starting out as teens with no fashion education, Pierre Kaczmarek and Elena Mottola deliver a collection which features jerseys, deconstructed puffers, and spliced together garments. By applying textile techniques like puckered seams and toggle ties to track suits, puffers, and branded jerseys, Afterhomework creates an interesting conversation and provides a new commentary on what we consider fashion today. This is definitely a brand to watch.
