Before The Curfew

Before The Curfew

Mirroring the lockdowns that are present in 2020 due to Covid-19, collaborative team the graduate design duo and TYT Girls create an alternate version of the classic fairytale Rapunzel. Outgrowing her classic braid, the princess is eager to redefine the way she dresses as she explores the outside world again. During Rapunzel’s months of isolation, her mother was her only source of human contact. As the outside world comes back to life she escapes the tower in search of the nearest party to attend. The 18 photos in this editorial convey a woman who is free from the bounds of her limitations, and is now empowered by herself. The story behind this project speaks on how time and isolation often induces natural, genuine change that comes innately.
