His new age erotica becomes vivid and palpable in front of your very eyes.
Pornhub Awards 2019: What was your inspo for this absolutely fabulous pornhub series?
I just wanted it to feel sensual and sophisticated with a twist of humour and magic now and then. Working with a tonal palette also made it fun to creative a unified cohesiveness with everything. We wanted it to feel optimistic and fun rather than crass.
Feels like vintage sohpisticated arty eroticism mixed with Y2K aesthetics channeling the 2000 Pamela Anderson, Carmen Electra and Paris Hilton, etc. … What was the challenge making those visuals?
I didn’t find anything too challenging! The only challenge was perhaps not putting tooo much x rated nudity in it lol.
Who are your erotic/sex icons from the past, the present and the future.
I was always so inspired by mapplethorpes work as a young teenager. Weirdly I think eroticism came out of me before I even saw too much visual inspiration lol. I remember asking my mum to buy me charcoal and art paper so I could draw male nudes (with no reference!) and also used to perform strip show for my family lol. What would they have thought.
All of your work has a strong erotic vibe to it: It’s beautiful, strong and appealing. When/How did you find your voice?
Thankyou. I knew when I started transitioning into fashion photography more that I would want and need to create an individual style that stood on its own. I was drawn and loved the ideas of hyper colour , cartoonishly naive looking work. Contrasted with this I have always loved creating classic black and white portraiture, which I think is a nice contrast against the technicolour....
What are we going to see next from you - what are your plans?
Creatively I am mainly working on my band at the moment “the deep faith” @thedeepfaith
Talking Self Love: How do you do it and how much do you hate yourself before you can love yourself?
I think it takes years of understanding yourself. I try to take a lot of time to myself to reflect and work on myself mentally and physically. I think the industry is super fast paced too with the internet etc so I think it’s important to take time out, for me nature and exercise is the best remedy.
What gives you life these days?
Music. Nature.
Living in this society: What do you think has to be changed?
I think Instagram likes should be completely disabled and I think fashion production should soon become illegal and we should just recycle clothing :)
Music: What enlightens your mood and days at the moment?
I have loved listening to “exotica” style music lately I find it has such a journey of moods and it’s so tropical which I love. It’s a perfect blend of styles for me.
