CAMPERLAB SS26

CAMPERLAB SS26

There are shows that flirt with subcultures and there are shows that understand them.  CAMPERLAB SS26 did the latter. Achilles Ion Gabriel and Lauri Kopio pulled the curtain back, not to expose a scene, but to show they’ve spent enough time inside it to know how it breathes. The show opened not with hype, but with weight.

Sven Marquardt, photographer, presence, Berghain’s infamous gatekeeper, walked the runway. His inclusion wasn’t a gimmick. He fit. That’s the point. The clothes had a kind of militant intimacy. Tailoring was sharp, but nothing felt sterile. Footwear was heavy, grounded. CAMPERLAB reminded us that fashion doesn’t have to dress up to feel serious.
