Nov 28 Claudio Rasano

Swiss-Italian photographer Claudio Rasano was born in 1970 in Basel, Switzerland. The photographer’s portraits are often approached through an anthropological and fine arts lens. Rasano’s photographic works explore the relationship between humans and space, interchanging the role of the subject between the two and stressing the space occupied.

He was awarded the prestigious Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize in 2016 with an image of Thembinkosi Fanwell Ngwenya, a Johannesburg schoolboy from his series Similar Uniforms: We Refuse to Compare. His works have been displayed in various international exhibitions with the most recent being Photovogue/portraits at Leica Galerie, Milano in 2017.
