Dogme: Privodeet

Dogme: Privodeet

Dogme: Privodeet a Super-8 film directed by photography duo Isabelle Chaput and Nelson Tiberghien, better known as Cesar Love Alexandre, in collaboration with Pairs Project. Cesar Love Alexandre is known for their past work with clients such as Kenzo and Givenchy. The film, made in collaboration with Kim Shui’s collection, with a bare minimum approach to fashion—rejecting the notorious post-production and highly stylized and made-up ethos of the fashion industry.

The directing duo explained that the fashion film is inspired by "sacrality, religion, and contemporary theatre” similar to movies such as Kurosawa's Seven Samurai or Bergman's The Seventh Seal. The piece explores the contemporary gaze on millennials and their “gangs” and our fascination with them, social media fame environments, and the overall concept of belonging. The Super-8 film was filmed with one roll of 50 ft.
