Homemade
Maria Fernanda Molins shot the photo series ‘Homemade’ in Zaid Osuna’s apartment, Osuna is also the stylist behind this shoot that truly personifies what it means to create something with two hands, in a personal space like home. Both are vividly creative spirits who teamed up in order to produce something that honours their Latin American roots but also sheds light on a city in bloom. There is something honourable about being a patriot through tough times, Molins underlines the struggle they both have been through and how they used this shoot as a medium to convey resilience. “Zaid and I have been through a lot, which is why it was nice to have a moment together to express the things we’re proud of, what we enjoy, one of which is definitely our resilience.”
“To celebrate that, we did what we do best and made pictures, putting together this shoot of clothing by our fellow, hyper-creative Mexicans featuring one of CDMX’s real beauties, our model Valito.” The shoot appears as an exhibition-style performance of Latin American sexuality, fashion and identity.
