Joshua Hercules
What is your favourite city and why?
London. It’s where I was born and raised. There’s nowhere else like it, there’s so many different tribes here. Every aspect of human nature can be found in London. It’s the creative capital of the world. It’s a place I’m constantly inspired by and surrounded by friends and family. I’m very proud to be a Londoner.
What is the best advice you’ve ever been given?
“Be yourself in your life, in your art and in everything you do.”
Describe your ideal day.
For me, an ideal day could be a lot of different things, with a lot a different people in a lot of different places. All I know for certain is that it would start with a João Gilberto album. Probably Amoroso.
What is the one thing you couldn’t live without and why?
My mother’s cooking. Can’t explain it, you just need to try it.
What’s the best and worst thing about social media?
Best - Platform for people to share their work and get recognition for what they create.
Worst - Loss of individuality.
