Madamadorè
The nursery rhyme Madamadorè tells the story of a lady who wasn’t willing to give her daughter as bride to a chimney sweeper since he would dress her with "rags and patches." The mother, on the other hand, shows a great deal of respect for the request of a king, to whom the ambitious lady is willing to give the hand of her daughter.
“I wondered if an innocent nursery rhyme could really be focused on discrimination of people based on the profession practiced, the physical aspect and ultimately the role of a woman in our society as much as in the world of fashion”, says William.
