Max Mara Fall 2016
Inspired by the 1920’s radical feminist and creative-thinking European women who emerged between the two world wars. Keywords were; Bauhaus, Dadaism and Modernism. Max Mara concentrated on over-sized coats in a grey scale of menswear fabrics styled together with half-tailored jumpsuits and sparkly pieces.
The diktat at Max Mara this season it seems to make a focus on the sizes. So the must have will be a very long camel coat, with big striped pocket, in a patchwork colours mixing or black vinyl, and a very short jumpsuit. All surrounded with big stripes details, retro round glasses and a gold silk lamé, really appropriate for a Hollywood star in the golden age or an intellectual and eccentric flapper of the 20's as Zelda Fitzgerald.
