As Cynthia Ozick once said; “two things remain irretrievable: time and a first impression.” This dynamic editorial brings an experimental and refreshingly creative outlook to the stereotypically mundane and too-often overlooked aspect of daily life. Working with photographer Verity Jones and makeup artist Alice Dodds, stylist Joseph Parker is repositioning his focus, exploring and experimenting with the juxtaposition of fashion and everyday life through body posture, styling and makeup. “This editorial was highly influenced by the visuals that I see and capture daily.” As Parker seeks to explore his developing style and aesthetic within fashion entirely through testing and experimentation; with each shot we see the fluidity of expression, how the nuance of positioning and styling serves to illuminate or camouflage the individual in the space they occupy.
