There isn’t so much of a theme here as just a cute outfit that I would like to wear. It follows a simple formula that makes up most of my personal outfits and those found on the internet. Oversized utilitarian jacket + sexy body-con element + kitschy sock + decidedly unsexy shoe + obscure accessory.
SKIRT SET: I actually own this skirt and think the design is incredible. It has the perfect leg slit and mini zipper, with no other unnecessary decorative elements. This is usually what I look for when mixing in sexy product into otherwise street appropriate outfits.
JACKET LINER: Jacket liners are an amazing layering piece. They are so lightweight and comfortable. My favorite favorite part is the exposed armpits you can slip your arms through, which allow you to wear it as a vest or a jacket, to accommodate different temperatures!!
BOBBY SOCK: I feel the nod to chaste sock hop fashion is a fun way to counteract the sexiness of the vinyl two piece. Amazon has a huge selection of bobby socks complete with ruffles and bows, just make sure you don’t buy a child’s size pair.
SNEAKER: These funky sneakers have EXCELLENT reviews as a long distance walking shoe. I am drawn to the silver and magenta accents, and am a strong believer that just about any orthopedic sneaker can look chic if you give it a chance.
NOS PATCH: I like to haphazardly hang patches or small cards from my jackets by safety pin, as a removable way to spice up old favorites. I am a huge Fast and Furious fan!!! I love this NOS graphic and try to reference Paul Walker whenever possible.
