The AW19 collaboration between Neith Nyer and DDP was unlike the usual harmony of two brands combining to create a collection. Instead of toning down ideas to fit a unified vision, this collection was loud and vibrant, with a use of colour and subversion of fabrics described as “almost perverted.” No attempts were made to soften the blow of this clash of sweet, sickly childhood colours yet with distinctly adult feel; although in theory uncomfortable there was a clear cohesion between the contradictions.

Beginning from an intense investigation of the DDP archive, 90s influence is a strong tie throughout the collection, while the unconventional use of colours and fabric presented an image of a girl wound up in the anti-capitalist world of bargain-bin consuming. She may move on the outskirts of what the Everyman does; but visually she's the centre of attention.

The image of the DDP’s eggman makes an appearance burned on jersey and hand stitched on hoodies, while knit is spray painted and padded nylon used to make mini skirts. As vibrant and shocking as this collection may be, it's “eye of the storm” like method in the madness sticks on the palette like the aftermath of candy, the sweet taste in your mouth leaving you ready for more.
