New Still Life
“New Still Life” captures the paradoxical nature of humans destroying the natural world, which their very lives depend on, for advancements and luxuries based in the selfish need for convenience. Only during the past decade have genuine initiatives and changes been made to counteract the broken relationship between man and nature. Questioning the re-establishment of this sacred relationship and the redefinition of what coexistence with nature presents itself as in the modern world. The stills in this project display human and nature intertwined, not as separate entities but collectively hybrid. “New Still Life” is a visual presentation of where we have come from, and the lengths man and nature can reach when in harmony.
