Being inspired by the natural surroundings in relation to their influence on everyday fashion Uv Zhu is a digital designer who brings abstruse visual concepts that fall under the likeness of all things eccentric and esoteric.
UV, currently the lines between art and design are blurring a bit. What do you have to say on your own journey as a creative?
In my opinion, art is to please yourself and attract others at the same time. The design is to meet the needs of the public. Art emphasizes self-worth, while the design has the attribute of service.
The digital space where imagination and visions actualize, What do you imagine to be the correct description of your creative style in such an ambiance?
I wanted to create an art world without any rules or sequences. That's how I describe my work. I don't want them to be defined by a particular style, I want everyone who sees my work to have their own interpretation.
What do you think about the connection between art and fashion in the digital environment?
I think this is one of the industries driven by technology. Digital technology has broken the constraints of the real world and brought more possibilities and creativity to the fashion industry
Your work in digital fashion has taken a strong space. Describe your creative process. How do you bring your ideas together? Is it intentional to create something that won't be possibly much comfortable physically?
I can relate all things in nature to fashion. I never consider whether they are reasonable or good because it is my intuition. Yes, I have partnered with brands to create and present my ideas in the physical world. We had some good results which gave me more confidence to keep going
Last but not least. Which ones are your favorite designs and why?
To be honest, I like every piece of work (haha), they are like my children.
