Atico Borbon

Atico Borbon

Fashion photographer and footwear product designer Alberto Pelayo combines his three main passions: footwear design, 3D modelling and photography. The result is ‘ÁTICO’, a project with a maze of personal references that recall the memories of his past. Through this project, Pelayo travels to his childhood in Mexico where playing with dolls wasconsidered a ‘privilege of girls’.

“The attic of my cousin's house was the only place where I could clear my imagination,
by inserting Barbie in unlikely contexts such as for example space traveling in the company of Action Man. Now Barbie has become my subject to be lensed, digitally wearing my capsule collection of space boots; Borbon 180, Borbon 129 and Borbon 66 inspired by space man, spaceships and rocket space.”

Pelayo’s unique combination of passions allows him not only to tell stories through the situations and environments. But to build inside the shots but also to reflect on them, accept them and communicate unique emotions and his aesthetics perception.
