Augustin Lignier
The bright lights flashed and lit up the room. As the music weaved through the crowd, the tangled conversations of spectators faded into whispers, inaugurating the 11th annual Tunis Fashion Week in Carthage, Tunisia.
Tasked with covering the fashion show, French photographer, Augustin Lignier, fused his pictures from the show with images collected from tours, creating a window into two universes: the show’s and his own. Lignier challenges the construction – and influences – of fashion imagery and fashion photography on the consumer and society, which reflects his recent work.
