Cristian Ordóñez
Cristian Ordóñez uses medium format film photography to investigate the connection to place and roots in a close relationship and immersion to the land; he also explores how the idea of belonging to a place affects the relationships of the people around him in the everyday life. His work on nature, domestic spaces and lifestyle are communicated with a clean chromatic balance through intuition and composition. Preferring natural light, he explores a tranquil and honest yet melancholic aesthetic.
Cristian Ordóñez's (b.1976) practice includes photography, graphic design and painting for personal projects, collaborations and commissions. He also works as creative director, designer and curator, partnering with other artists and organizations. His work has been shown in Canada, Chile, United Kingdom and Argentina.
