What first inspired you to become a tattoo artist?
When I saw the tattoo on my sister's body, I was fascinated.

Your work features a very distinct fantastical softness in colour and style. What are the influences to your artistry?
I am obsessed with feelings and emotion, drawn to things soft and fluttering.  That’s why I use gentle colors with a windy feeling.

You are based in Chengdu, China. How do you find working in the Chinese creative scene? What is it like?

Now in  Chengdu it’s very difficult because few people understand this kind of work. Most people don’t agree that such pictures should be tattooed on the body. Many still prefer the more traditional style, but the overall environment is getting more open and accepting.

Do you feel your environment has influenced your tattooing style and the way you work?

To some extent life in this city is always leisurely, comfortable, and close to nature. I feel at ease to create and work. No wonder pandas like to live here too!

How do you see your art involving in the future?

I am different at each stage and I don’t know what the future will look like. No matter which medium I may use, I hope I will always feel free to create and be myself.
