But this Biennale is not just about artistic expression—it's also about environmental sustainability. "The Milk of Dreams" exhibition draws inspiration from Leonora Carrington's magical book of fairy tales, immersing visitors in a world where life is reinvented through imagination. As curator Cecilia Alemani explains, it's a journey of metamorphoses and redefined humanity, exploring the changing definition of what it means to be human, our relationship with technology, and the interconnectedness between bodies and the Earth.

Throughout the Central Pavilion and the Arsenale, you'll encounter works by 213 artists from 58 countries, including 26 talented Italian artists. Prepare for a captivating exploration of bodies and their transformations, the intricate connection between individuals and technology, and the profound bonds between our bodies and the planet we call home.

Dive into five historical-themed micro-exhibitions, forming constellations of art, objects, and documents that delve into the exhibition's core themes. These capsules offer a transhistorical and transversal approach, highlighting similarities and legacies between different generations of artists, creating a rich tapestry of meaning and connections that bridge past and present.

"The Milk of Dreams" exhibition is a testament to resilience and collective effort, emerging in the face of unprecedented challenges posed by the ongoing pandemic. It symbolizes not just a return to normalcy, but the triumph of human spirit and the joy of coming together.
