Futo Akiyoshi’s work explores the ways in which borderline from the painting practice is articulated through painterly relationships – from expressions of single gold color composed a spatial structure “Room”, an simply accumulated paints on a flat surface questions borderline between painting and sculpture “A Certain Aspect (Mountain)”, to layering the transparent color onto a transparent acrylic board exposes all the touch from the artists work “Naked Relations”. By investigating the deconstruction of the notion of painting, Akiyoshi positioning himself along with the idea of reconstructing the painting and its possibilities.
