Photographer Ali Yavuz Ata’sz photo series ‘Humanoid’ seems to embody the emotionlessness our futures may hold - considering the cold, stark realities of the rise of artificial intelligence. By definition a ‘humanoid’ is ‘a robot designed to read and experience human emotion’, but in theory doesn’t have feelings itself. In a Chanel and Vetements adorned shoot styled by Emrecan Sandal, the human becomes the humanoid - beckoning the questions: at what point will real life and ‘fake life’ become blurred? What are the boundaries of humanity? And what do the evolution of robots and the continuation of technological advances have in store for our humanhood?
