Glum Trigger? Whats up right now?
Glum Trigger is my own creative space / label where you'll find my very recent EP Planet of Death. I co-run it with two close friends. Pitching amen breaks and girlband sleezerock against bulbous acid arpeggios, or bundling machine-gun 808 snares and pastel chords under ⅞ time signatures and scifi overtones, is how we set the tone... but we don't put pre-conceived limitations on the sound or scope of things. But I suspect the coming things will all be exceptions to some rule or other. [GLUM2] is secret for now but a real thrill. Add @glum_trigger on instagram and stay with for a couple releases to see what you think.
Name your biggest influencers, ever since young.
I think God Most High did a smashing job on creating all the flowers and whatnot. I find myself more and more drawn to them... like I'm being lured by their wicked scent. God has made many efforts.
Are you spiritual?
Ha-ha. Well, On a pragmatic level, yea. I use it to take care of my body and self-relation.
When did you know music was your calling?
Well, there's at least 50 years left til I'm supposed to die, so I think it's too early to call. But it's not something I've ever felt the need to contemplate or doubt.
ishi vu, what does it mean?
It was the name of my fire sorceress from Diablo 2 back when I was 11 years old.
Describe your creative process. Are you a 9 to 5'er?
This is one of those situations where you end up chasing right into what you're trying to escape from. Although recently I've been more of a 5-to-9'er. Can't help drifting into the late hours. And I'm stuck with the feeling that 24h is just slightly not enough for one day of general existence overall. 25-26h days would make a profound difference on everything.
What does paradise look like?
I imagine it would look a lot like DMT but spliced with high doses of human beauty. But also, very much beyond the confines of our imagination.
