LCF BA17
University of the Arts London's London College of Fashion catwalk show featured collections from 46 BA graduate students and was divided into six acts that took place at Old Spitalfields Market in East London.
The pieces lined up went from abstract to theatrical creations and kicked off with a collaboration between bespoke tailoring student Will Morgan and jewellery student Simpson Ma. By using second-hand fabrics, used table cloths, Japanese futon covers and technical knits that turned into tailored patchworks, the duo presented collection influenced by fishermen and folklore.
After the intro followed a wide range of impressive looks inspired by themes such as Japanese post-war and architectural shapes, pre-Raphaelite art, artificial intelligence and robots, graphic novels, gender fluidity and gothic female characters.
