Lodewijk Germanes
Lodewijk Germanes,an 18 year-old visual artist from Belgium, currently studying graphic design at LUCA School of Arts in Brussels. In his recent work he would like to invite the viewer into his personal world of playful abstraction. “Landscapes” revolves around the alteration of color gradients. The main concept is to suggest a certain image without intruding it upon the spectator and leaving viewers the space for individual interpretations based on their perception of the given image. In terms of color, this series uses a form of expression far from nature yet manages to convey the view of a natural topography and to invoke the primal instinctive recognition of a landscape in the spectator.
