Miss Beige
Miss Beige is a bit of an enigma. She is bold and she is daring. At first glance, she looks like the love child of “Carmen Sandiego” and Ana Winter but she turns out to be much more than a silly character. She is the self proclaimed heroin of the 21st century - endowed with Dignity and a new definition of female beauty. You may also find yourself asking her, “Is that a hammer in her bag or is she just happy to see me?”

Where were you born? Where do you reside?
I was born in Madrid and I am based between London and Madrid.
What made you choose the color beige to represent you? Why beige instead of any of the other colors?
The symbolism of dressing in beige, a color that blends and never offends… contrasts with always carrying a hammer in her handbag, just in case.
Who takes your pictures? Do you style yourself? Do you have a partner in crime?
I have created the character, but Maria Dain is my partner in crime when we take the streets. We are friends and we have fun working together.
What do you stand for? Why do you exist? What is your purpose in this life?
1. In times where issues of equality, reproductive rights and perception of womanhood are heavily discussed, Miss Beige dismantles beauty to a different kind of aesthetics that are ruled by God knows what but the male’s appreciation.
2.Miss beige, the Anti-Selfie, emerges as a heroine of 21st century without a cape or tight clothing. She is endowed with the highest virtue: DIGNITY. Until now female heroines have always been depicted as sexual objects and not portrayed as bold and daring beings.
3.Miss Beige has a mission: denouncing all that she does not like. This turns her into a disruptive environment. A shout out for courage and ambiguity. She gets photographed with all that induces excitement, intrigue and tummy ache. Always looking for provocation and reflection. Through play and with her gaze, she turns the spectator into the spectacle.
