PNGSTOCK is a space where consumer culture, technology, art and the internet collide. Placing technological products, both old and new, as well as the occasional outlier, against a blue and white gradient, graphic designer YNTBP ultimately restructures art in its intersection with stock images. YNTBP is dedicated to this “phone art”, where he is able to create these works anywhere at anytime due to its easy accessibility through his phone. He plans to continue the series long-term and envisions prints or a book in the future. The works, through their uniform gradient backdrops, classify each product onto the same level and make a bold statement on today’s hyper focus on and obsession with products—particularly surrounding tech and the internet. YNTBP's cheeky works can either evoke a nostalgia for some or an unfamiliar feeling in others. He highlights our connection or disconnect with these products or what they represent, asking us to question and be critical of the existence or lack thereof of these links.

Born in a small village in Spain, YNTBP went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in the arts and, after living in Berlin for two years, studied graphic design in Barcelona. His fascination with net art, Facebook, Tumblr, and classic photos of products led YNTBP to create PNGSTOCK. He has collaborated with 032 Magazine and the online museum and art gallery #0000FF. His latest graphic design projects consist of a cargo redesign for GOIG architects and the vinyl cover design for Elsa de Alfonso’s EP.
