Rebecca Lovgren

She started to paint when she was 17. She didn't choose to draw women and bodies, it happened naturally, where she was in her life at that point she used the sketching and drawing to quiet her mind, and probably express the feelings and thoughts she couldn't express verbally or physically. Someone once said "Im proud to be born female". She says that she couldn't agree more, since she believes it’s a fine balance of curse and blessing. Then in general she prefer round shapes, and minds. Which might add to reason for her feminine motive, at least for the round shapes.

Her style and material have developed and varies a lot since she started drawing, and is still changing. Her feminine motive fascination seems never ending though. She’s inspired by timeless women, strong emotions, own experiences, art history, nature and the game played between the two sexes.
