Riccardo Arriola
Ricardo Arriola is a photographer and student born in 1993 in Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico. He currently studies film and specializes in cinematography. He received a Pentax K100 35mm when he was sixteen and subsequently began to shoot color photographs of the everyday and urban scenes. Arriola is highly influenced by paintings and sculptures from the 20th century and is particularly inspired by Degas, Pisarro, Monet, and Renoir.

Many of these artists were direct influences for his photography in “Essays on daylight and souvenirs”. The Mexican photographer is also inspired by the novels and poetry he reads, claiming the book, L’Erotisme of George Bataille, as the muse behind most of his photography. Arriola is currently based in Mexico City where he studies at the Film Training Center
