Ultra
A major theme discussed in “Plus Ultra” is the uncertainty of human consciousness at large. This project poses existential questions and ideas such as; though we are conscious of being, can we ever understand what we really are? Exposing the many contradictions of life, “Plus Ultra” uses a mixture of nine photos, one video, as well as written pieces to exude its ideologies.
The film component of this project perfectly encapsulates the almost anxiety-inducing feeling one can feel as they are awakened to the true realities of the conscious unknown. Like a veil being lifted, Nic and Juan’s manifesto on existence provides a modern and avant-garde perspective on humanity's most profound questions.
